Milestone standard of excellence

  • Our passion for supporting puppies to reach key developmental milestones comes from wanting to give puppies the best start possible in life so they can thrive in their roles as family, working or assistance dogs.

The foundational training of this litter has started from day one with the puppies being born in our home and continuing to be part of our household on our family farm as they have grown.

ENS & ESI training started from day 3 to day 16 following a very easy birth with their mother who was attentive, relaxed and calm in her mothering.

From there we focused daily on the areas of reward based training and shaping desired behaviours with repetitive positive reinforcement with Puppy Culture as a guide.

Our son and daughter (age 5 and 11) have also been fundamental in the puppies positive early learning experiences with children. The puppies have been gently handled from birth by the children and as the puppies have grown they have explored, learned and played alongside each other.

As part of our business working full-time with family dogs the puppies have had the added safe exposure of interacting with vaccinated dogs of all shapes and sizes and display wonderful social skills.

They have also joined us on errands, school runs, daycare visits and playdates and are a joy to have out with us.

Both of the puppies parents are very obedient, calm and relaxed dogs at home but love to work, play and join us for adventures when it is time to head out.

This particular trait is called an on/off switch which makes living with our dogs incredibly enjoyable. We have seen the exact same behaviours from this litter and expect them to fit wonderfully into a range of different households and working roles.

  • The parents of these puppies are purebred working line Labrador Retrievers which carry lines from the United Kingdom and America.

Our female dog Honey’s mother is an accredited service dog currently working in Australia.

We have very carefully selected both dogs and wanted to experience living with them daily before committing to using their genetics for the foundation of our breeding program.

Being working line Labradors they are incredibly healthy with full clear genetic results and hip/elbow x-rays with excellent scores.

We have intentionally chosen for the puppies to continue to be with both parents so they are influenced by their natures and have their support as the puppies moved through their training and socialisation with other dogs.

  • We are registered breeders with Dogs NSW as part of the National Kennel Club Association and subject to a code of ethics, property and dog welfare checks: Our breeder prefix is: Milestoness and member number is: 872437

  • We support our puppies and their new families with training advice, holiday boarding on our farm and rehoming assistance if ever needed

”We see lots of puppies and I just wanted to say how well-mannered and behaved they were as we rarely see a litter like yours for vaccination. They were mature, calm, patient and responsive to instruction and examination. There was no need to struggle holding them and each and every puppy was a delight to handle.

It just shows how early education of puppies can reap such great rewards”
